2015 EAST Scientific Assembly
At last month's EAST 28th Annual Scientific Assembly, acute care physicians from around the world gathered in Orlando, FL to exchange ideas and share solutions for managing the care of critically ill patients. During a private event hosted by ImaCor, attendees had the opportunity to discuss and collaborate on the challenges of hemodynamic management and strategies for fluid management in critical care patients.
2015 SCCM Clinical Congress
During January's SCCM's 44th Clinical Congress in Phoenix, we spoke with a number of physicians about the hTEE Program for Advanced Hemodynamic Management, particularly in relation to fluid management. At a critical care leadership dinner hosted by ImaCor, Dr. Amy Christie of Navicent Health and Dr. Ahmed Zaky of University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital presented their experiences with fluid management and hTEE.
2015 STS Annual Meeting
In San Diego, CA, during the STS 51st Annual Meeting, ImaCor invited physicians to a private high risk cardiac surgery leadership dinner to discuss the application of hTEE Advanced Hemodynamic Management for fluid management in critically ill patients.
2014 ACS Clinical Congress
We experienced a great response at the October 2014 ACS Annual Clinical Congress in San Francisco thanks, in part, to a lively discussion titled "Resuscitation of the Surgical Patient" chaired by Niels D. Martin, MD, FACS, of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dudley Benjamin Christie, of Navicent Health, spoke about how trauma surgeons and intensivists are using hTEE in their trauma ICU and SICU. The talk was followed by a lively Q & A session during which physicians made clear the need for better tools and methods for managing their high-risk patients.
hTEE MCS Symposium at the 2014 ISHLT Annual Meeting
San Diego, California
April 11th, 2014
The hTEE MCS symposium played a critical role at this year's ISHLT Annual Meeting, attended by over approximately 2000 members from over 45 countries, representing over 14 different disciplines involved in the management and treatment of end-state heart and lung disease. Our esteemed panel members led the most powerful discussion yet on hTEE; speaking passionately on how they are using hTEE to manage their complex cardiac surgery patients.
Watch this short symposium video highlighting the presentations by our expert panel and learn how they are using hTEE to achieve improved clinical outcomes and significantly reduce the cost of managing their most complex cardiac surgery patients.
Report from the 2014 STS/AATS Tech Con & STS 50th Annual Meeting
By Harold M. Hastings, PhD, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
I felt that I had gone "South to the Future" Sunday, January 28th at the STS/AATS Tech Con and STS meeting in Orlando, Florida. First was the Sunday morning session, "Adult Cardiac Track III: Next Generation Devices for Durable Mechanical Circulatory Support" featuring presentations on the future of mechanical cardiac support by leading academic physicians and device manufacturers; second was our Sunday evening reception featured a "talk with the experts" on the present and future of hTEE in advanced cardiac surgery and mechanical circulatory support...
Reporting Live from the SCCM 2014
By Jeff Normand RDCS, Director of Marketing
Greetings from San Francisco. This year's SCCM conference had an estimated 6000 attendees and something for everyone: training workshops, educational symposia, posters, and dynamic presentations on topics covering the entire landscape of critical care medicine. At the ImaCor exhibit we spoke to hundreds of physicians about the challenges inside of the ICU. The overwhelming tone of the conversations was, "How are we going to manage more effectively and efficiently in the changing times ahead?" We appreciated the opportunity to learn more from these physicians and discuss their focus on improving patient critical care, especially in Hemodynamic Management.
Report from ESICM’s 26th Annual Meeting
ImaCor was honored to attend the 26th Annual Congress of ESICM (European Society of Intensive Care Medicine) in Paris from October 5th -9th. Our 72-hour hTEE probe was referenced in multiple scientific sessions on topics including hemodynamic management, ARDS, and the right ventricle. The benefits of hTEE-guided management over time were also discussed during the pre-congress critical care echocardiography training courses.
Advanced Hemodynamic Management Featured in 2013 EACTS Scientific Program
'The RV is the New LV'
Cardiothoracic surgeons convened during the 27th Annual Meeting of EACTS for a session on Advanced Hemodynamic Management in High Risk Surgery, 8 October 2013, at 16:15. Matthias Loebe, MD, PhD of Houston Methodist (Houston, TX, USA and Simon Maltais MD, PhD of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (Nashville, TN, USA) moderated the discussion.
The Jefferson Hemodynamic Transesophageal Echocardiography Conference
Thursday, May 16, 2013
The Department of Surgery Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital recently organized a Hemodynamic Transesophageal Echocardiography Conference for CME credit on Thursday, May 16th. The CME course gathered several leading surgeons and intensivists to discuss the specific applications of hTEE in the setting of traumatic and non-traumatic pericardial pathology, fluid management in the septic and TBI patients, and in specialty cardiac devices (LVAD and ECMO).
hTEE Symposium during the 33rd Annual ISHLT
April 24th, 2013
Multidisciplinary heart failure and transplant teams from across the world joined us at the hTEE Symposium on April 24th during the ISHLT 33rd Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada. Here they heard from physicians how hTEE is used to optimize the care of transplant, ventricular assist device and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation patients. Turnout was high, and the clinical discussion was extremely rewarding.
hTEE Trauma Symposium at the EAST 26th Annual Scientific Assembly
January 18, 2013
ImaCor launched its 2013 Educational Program in mid-January with the hTEE Trauma Symposium, held at the EAST Annual Scientific Assembly in Scottsdale, Arizona.
