I felt that I had gone "South to the Future" Sunday, January 28th at the STS/AATS Tech Con and STS meeting in Orlando, Florida. First was the Sunday morning session, "Adult Cardiac Track III: Next Generation Devices for Durable Mechanical Circulatory Support" featuring presentations on the future of mechanical cardiac support by leading academic physicians and device manufacturers; second was our Sunday evening reception featured a "talk with the experts" on the present and future of hTEE in advanced cardiac surgery and mechanical circulatory support: Drs. Margarita Camacho (Newark Beth Israel Hospital, Newark, NJ), Simon Maltais (Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, TN), Harrison Pitcher (Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia), and Scott Silvestry (Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO).

As these leaders and others bring improved outcomes to more, older and sicker patients, ImaCor is pleased to help by translating the gold standard hemodynamic management tool in the operating room, TEE, into a miniaturized hTEE probe providing on-demand, point-of-care TEE for patients in the all-important initial post-surgical days in the ICU. Feel free to contact Michael Burns at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to speak directly with the experts. If you missed this session (or if you attended and were intrigued), please join us at ISHLT in San Diego in April.
